Verizon FiOS Sucks

My Lost Triple Play Order, Disconnection and Customer Service Nightmare

Verizon FiOS Customer Service Hell

Step 3 - Ignoring Verizon FiOS Sales Tactics

Dates: November 14th 2007, November 19th 2007, December 3rd, 2007.

I was so angry over my lost order (given the time it took me to complete my order) that I ignore 3 attempts by the Verizon FiOS sales department to reach me. The 3 attempts are as follows:

  • November 14th, 2007 at 6:07 PM - Verizon FIOS (804-235-5090) calls my cell and I don’t answer as I don’t recognize the 804 area code. They leave a message telling me that they would like to reach me regarding my customer service request. (See capture below from Cell Phone Call History)
  • November 19th, 2007 at 4:08 PM - Verizon FIOS (804-235-5612) calls my cell and I don’t answer. They leave a message telling me they would like to reach me regarding my customer service request. (See capture below from Cell Phone Call History)
  • December 3rd, 2007 - I receive a postcard (dated 11/19 and postmarked 11/30) that informs me that they have been trying to reach me and want to complete my order. (See scan of postcard with end of reference number redacted)

I don’t want to talk to Verizon after they have totally botched my order and wasted my time.

So basically Verizon called you regarding your order but you decide to be petulant. But your passive aggression had nothing to do with it.

Did it ever occur to you that they found your order and were trying to fix things up? Are you some scarycat who’s afraid to answer your phone or something.
