It may not have been a FiOS Triple Play order and it certainly wasn’t the only factor but it certainly looks like my story contributed to Verizon FiOS losing an order! Just goes to show you how, in less than 72 hours the transparency of the Internet can impact the bottom line of Verizon!

noname. If V gets the service up and running few people want to give it up. The problem has been the install. In some cases the techs has burnt the sides of houses due to hitting electrical wires.

Yes he did cancel it, but did he really “cancel” it?

Ever try reaching customer service. The phone number they supply takes ten minutes to get through. The jerks still have my FIOS account listed as DSL. I spent four hours trying to reach some one at customer service. There isn’y any way to call from my FIOS phone. It switches automatically to the DSL line (in India yet!). Ain’t technology great?

That’s some of the problems I’ve heard of with Verizon’s customer service. They’re not open after 5 pm, they outsource to foreign countries all the time and they have no local office for picking up and swapping equipment.

I was seraching for Verizon-FIOS when I ran across your site. I am currently a Comcast customer and was considering switching to save a few bucks & get a free TV. Thanks for reminding me why I stopped doing business with Verizon. In their zeal to save bucks they have outsourced essential parts of their business that results in a loss of control of the quality of service they give their customers. It is only a matter of time before they go under as Comcast and Vonage eat away at their core business. I am sorry to hear about your problem but thanks for saving me from making a terrible mistake. Comcast if you are listening if you were to keep your 3 in 1 package in the $99.00 range beyond the first year no one would even consider swtiching to Verizon ! In any event I am staying put your service may not be cheap but it is reliable and trouble free, not to mention your great customer service!!

I also dislike the support side of Verizon. I loved the picture quality of the TV signal, and the internet speed was really smooth. My nightmare was and has remained verizon customer service.
Because of the customer service issues I cancelled during the trial period and have never been able to get the bill straightened out. We cancelled in December. Called 3 different times over the next 3 months . We were always promised that the bill would be fixed. Just last month we learned that the bill which they had promised to zero out completely had been turned over to collection and was for an amount of $300+. It is important to note that they went more than 4 months without trying to contact us about the bill which we assumed had been cancelled as promised. The amount is also insane, 300 dollars for a service that we had less than 14days and was supposed to be $99 per month. Stay away from Verizon save yourself the grief.
